Very happy with this carrier/rail combo. Its very light, and the mount is very rigid. The rail is true, the fit and finish are excellent. NOT COMPATIBLE with lancer extension tubes. The clamp on the mag/barrel interferes with the extension tube nut. If the rail was about 5/8 longer, the clamp would not be a problem - not really a Mesa or Lancer issue, both are good products, just not compatible.

However, it is compatible with Magpul MOE/SGA furniture though. I've decided to remove 3/8-1/2" of the lancer magazine nut so I can fit the Mesa barrel/mag clamp. I'll be 'koating it anyway, so hopefully I dont damage the tube when I'm turning down the nut. Application is an 870 magnum - 2" bbl, with lancer 4X extension tube.

i was concerned when i bought this because my 870 is a standard 4+1 ( no ext tube) but after it will fit solid as a rock with out a bottom tube to grab. 200 rds of 00buck so far and still solid. mag pul mbus sight and its all you need. only down side is the $280 price
