Great value and utility
I wanted a new mountain bike but couldn’t justify the outlay of cash when I had this perfectly fine hybrid sitting unused in garage. So I ordered up these 29” knobby tires and installed them on my 23mm factory 700c sized rims on my ‘05 trek 7.3fx disc. The 2.125” tires I had ordered were way too wide and tall. These fit perfectly (1.95” width), with a little bit of clearance for light mud. Pumped to max pressure they were fine on city streets and bike paths. I ran a single track that last attempted on the bike 6 years ago. Back then I only made it 500 yds before the terror overcame my stubbornness and I walked the bike to the car. That was on the factory hybrid 35mm tires. With these tires I ran a full 5.5 miles of the track (prairie creek trail in Indianapolis). I didn’t run any jumps or drops, but I covered all the little ravines and embankments just fine. The hybrid still sits too high to feel really comfortable running a singletrack; but these tires have perfectly acceptable traction and handling. I’ll experiment in the spring with lower psi, but I’m happy. I was hoping for too much, thinking I’d turn a hybrid into a bmx racing bike. It’s more like a 10 speed with knobbies. But a fun proof of concept with a low price of admission

Quality tire for a good price, obviously not made in the USA.

Nice tread. Good size. Fit on my 700c rims no problem. One of the Goodyear logos was printed too close to the rim but not a deal breaker considering I have no idea where they were manufactured.
