I'm a handyman who purchased this for an elderly customer who was maybe 4ft 7in tall with a bad knee. All other step ladders have hig her step separation of at least 9in.She really liked the lower step heights and the high handle support. It is easy to use and has the lowest step heights of ANY ladder I could find ANYWHERE.She was always asking me for help and solutions so, I told her I would try to find her a good step stool. It took me a while to find this one on a motorhome website, of all places and luckily Amazon sells it.Pros:*Closest average step heights of any stool I found ( as of this purchase.)*High support handle.*Well made and sturdy for most people at 250lbs.*Light enough for many users to handle.*Wide, sturdy stance.*I recommend it for the elderly.Cons:*300 lbs capacity would be better.*Non-average step heights. Might as well make them all 7in or 7.50in apart including the 1st step. What's the point of 6in and then 8in plus for the rest. The first step isn't the hardest.1st Step = 6in (+6in)2nd Step = 14.25in (+8.25in)3rd Step = 22.75in (+8.50in)Because it has lower steps, a taller version with a 4th step would be nice having: 7in, 14in, 21in, and 28in steps. There is an optional plastic lock for the open position but it's hard for elderly to operate. My customer couldn't use it.

I really wanted to like this ladder. I’ve used it numerous times and it just does not work for me. First off the bottom rung is very close to the ground okay that is nice however it goes down hill from there. if they had put another rung on the ladder so the rungs could have been closer together it would have.been easer to use. As it is now to get down I have the same issue with any other ladder I have to reach really far to step down.
The ladder is heavy but feels very stable and there is a lock to hold it open. I would not buy this ladder again because the rungs are still to far apart. A plus the ladder folds very flat so it can be stored in narrow spaces.

I purchased this ladder for my 80+ year old mother. She wanted a step ladder for use in the kitchen. She told me that she really likes the ladder. She found the steps to be deep which gives her better stability while climbing. She said the ladder is not too heavy for her to move around. She felt comfortable and secure while climbing as the ladder has a hand rail at the top. She said it folded easily and does not take up very much room in the closet.

I'm a handyman who purchased this for an elderly customer who was maybe 4ft 7in tall with a bad knee. All other step ladders have hig her step separation of at least 9in.

She really liked the lower step heights and the high handle support.

It is easy to use and has the lowest step heights of ANY ladder I could find ANYWHERE.

She was always asking me for help and solutions so, I told her I would try to find her a good step stool. It took me a while to find this one on a motorhome website, of all places and luckily Amazon sells it.

Pros:
*Closest average step heights of any stool I found ( as of this purchase.)
*High support handle.
*Well made and sturdy for most people at 250lbs.
*Light enough for many users to handle.
*Wide, sturdy stance.
*I recommend it for the elderly.

Cons:
*300 lbs capacity would be better.
*Non-average step heights. Might as well make them all 7in or 7.50in apart including the 1st step. What's the point of 6in and then 8in plus for the rest. The first step isn't the hardest.

1st Step = 6in (+6in)
2nd Step = 14.25in (+8.25in)
3rd Step = 22.75in (+8.50in)

Because it has lower steps, a taller version with a 4th step would be nice having: 7in, 14in, 21in, and 28in steps.

There is an optional plastic lock for the open position but it's hard for elderly to operate. My customer couldn't use it.

I am really glad I purchased this step ladder. It is light weight, easy to carry around, and is very sturdy. Since I have problems with my legs and now use a cane to get around, I cannot climb and stand on the regular step stool which we have had for years. This ladder has a means to hold on to steady oneself. Also, the lower steps make it a lot easier to climb. Would recommend this for everyone, especially anyone with leg or back problems and uses a cane or walker to get around.

After much research, I chose this one, and I am pleased! It is lightweight, sturdy, easy to use, easy to store and tall enough with a stable support handle. It opens and closes easily.

steady as a rock. I weigh 250 and feel totally comfortable and stable on these steps. It is worth noting that the weight rating is from OSHA so it is actually a meaningful number.

Good product, wide steps, but I had hoped for a flatter ladder as I have to slide it into the kitchen between the counter and the fridge. Otherwise an OK item.
