I bought this on an impulse Lightening Deal that was just too darn good to pass up. I was already playing the Big Bertha of the same line, (the non-Alpha BB). I got the 10.5 and increased the loft by 2*, and set it to Draw. I left the core down to offset the increased loft. Took less than 10 balls at the range to get used to it. Maybe because it is similar to the other BB I had been playing for the last 3-4 months, (which I also really like.) I like smaller toe-to-heal size on the Alpha better. It is higher in the middle (taller) then the regular BB, which I also like since I tend to hit the ball higher on the club face. The shaft looks identical, but the difference is the Alpha is a little heavier, and it is called the ZT vs. the Z. I have them both in regular, so I don't really notice a huge difference. I've played about 4 rounds with the Alpha so far. Overall, I can't say I hit it much, if any longer than the BB. They are both really, really, nice clubs. After playing TM and most recently Cobra, I am happy to be back to Callaway. It's been since the Diablo about 10 drivers ago since I played Callaway. The price I got on the lightening deal made the purchase a no-brainer. My buddy already purchased my BB, so it made it all that much better a deal. But all things considering, I would not consider it a huge difference to warrant the original $100 price difference. But with 4 days of golf coming up this weekend, I might change my mind. If I do, I'll post again. BTW, it was such a great buy, I bought another for my buddy. He will play with it on Friday for the first time. I hope he likes it as much as I do.

The club was in good condition for being used. Although...I thought it would come with a neutral setup or include other weights to adjust the clubs setup. Mine came with a 1&7 weights installed and no extras to make adjustments. Disappointed!

I am very happy with this driver it feels good and drives well. I can not say that is is longer than my old callaway 460 tour but I do hit it more consistently in the fairway. To me it was well worth the money.

It makes it easier to not slice. Slightly longer distance than my old Cobra. Only thing to get used to is that it sounds clunky. I was able to adjust the loft and weighting to compensate for my swing that tends to be from outside in.

After using this for a few months, I can say that I'm hitting 10 to 20 yards further, and definitely straighter than my old club. It is also more reliable, It did take a month or so to get this reliable, though. Driving is now the best part of my game. By the way, I'm 74 years young.

The driver cracked after using it less then 10 times. I Will be returning and never buying from amazon for any reason again. I'll pay the extra money. Not worth the hassle!

This might be my first negative review. I bought this because it is suppose to take spin off drives. After trying every configuration, I still can't hit it for any distance. I went back to my TaylorMade R1 and it is easily 25 yards longer and much easier to hit.
