I've cut about 60 feet of particle board with this bit and it works great. Word of warning, if you have to do a second pass through, clean out the residual sawdust from the groove or it will burn and misalign the cut. And of course, make sure the bit spins the correct direction.

Cut four 48” slots in melamine for T-molding and by the 3rd cut the carbide must have dulled because the bit started burning through the wood and smoke filled the room. The bit itself was blue in color from overheating.
I’ve used cheaper brand slot cutters in the same material and have never had this issue. All I can chalk it up to is very cheap carbide. Will not buy this brand in the future.

This is only good for a couple of projects, it's going to dull quickly. I did very little routing and it's already smoking up in the plywood. It may last longer in soft woods, but those who are seeking. something like this are generally using plywood and for that I've gotten less than 15 feet of cutting before it starts smoking.

Needed this to cut some spline slots to mate a shop-made floor hardwood threshold to engineered hardwood on top of Dricore. 1/8" would make the engineered hardwood too fragile. Going to use metal strip for the spline. Slots have to be cut in-situ, and wanted to use a small trim router to get closer to the door frames. One slot is in thin plywood, mating slot is in Sapele hardwood (very very hard).

First problem: nuts, washers, and bearing stack wouldn't have let it close enough to the floor. After rearrangement (washers above cutter), that solved.

Initially worried that this large-diameter bit would make my trim router gyroscopically unstable/unsafe, I was pleased to discover that at slow speed it was perfectly stable, very smooth and still cuts like a hot knife through butter, with no burning. While I haven't done the job yet, I'm now confident I can do it cleanly and easily without the router trying to eat me or smoke up the place.

This is advertised as a 1/16' slot cutter but it's actually closer to 1/8". I measured the bit and even the packaging says 4mm which is 1/8 NOT 1/16. Very frustrating because I needed this bit in a hurry. I don't know how people are using this for T-molding because mine was floating in the grove where you usually need to use a mallet to get it in.
