GREAT Company, GREAT Assembly Instructions, GREAT Table
My wife did the buying, but I did the assembling, so she said, “you write the review.”I like these tables very much, and I also like Sauder Woodworking very much; great company.We have now gotten 3 pieces from Sauder; the Edgewater lift top coffee table, and now two of these Edgewater side tables. I was not looking forward to the assembly process, because in my experience, the instruction books are terrible; they read like they were translated from Chinese, and not very well. I was pleasantly surprised.All the parts were clearly labeled, all the screws and other hardware easy to identify; every step of the process was clearly explained. And along the way, you get some other goodies, like, “Don’t worry. It isn’t Rome. This can be built in a day.”I only gave “EASY TO ASSEMBLE” 4 stars, because I don’t think I would call it easy. You will need a good workspace, and you will have to be careful putting partly assembled sections together. At one point the instructions for the coffee table specified not to try the next part alone; get someone to help. But as mentioned before, the instructions are very good, and if you are patient and follow them carefully, you can do it.I timed the assembly of the 2nd side table, and it took just about 1 1/2 hours. The complete tables look just beautiful, and we are very happy with the purchase.

Easy to put together and nice to look at.

I bought a Sauder bookshelf earlier this year and was impressed with the ease and quality for the price I decided to try another piece of their furniture. This side table: After organizing all my parts, it took me 43 minutes to put this together. The first 10 minutes was putting in all the cams and cam screws. I would say it is well made for what it is. It’s sturdy, easy to put together and nice to look at. I’m happy with it.

This is a very nice side table. I expected it to be smaller than it is, but I'm overall satisfied with its size and quality. My husband and I assembled it together in just over an hour and a half. (We had a toddler running around and "helping" so our time might be skewed). The drawer can be tricky, but don't give up. Read the instructions carefully~ everything is there and it all came together nicely!
