Most Helpful 5-Star Review

5.0 out of 5 stars. He ain't heavy, he's my chair

Ok--so I read all the reviews of this chair, and I did some thinking, and looking around at all the fold up chairs I could find. The main gripe seems to be that this is a heavy chair. But, it does hold 300 pounds... so, wouldn't you want it to be 'heavy'?
I'm a pretty small woman, 5' and around 120. This chair maybe on the heavier side, but it certainly is no problem to carry. The strap is sturdy and stays put on your shoulder. I carried mail for 30 years, this is not heavy. Trust me.
The best thing about this chair is the size and the sturdiness. It folds out solid, and stays put. It is so comfortable. So, you may find a lighter chair, but I doubt you will find one that is this well made, and comfortable for the price. I love the way it feels. You can sit in it for long periods of time without any discomfort ,or that uneasy feeling you have when you think a chair may tip over. The cup holder is most likely unusable for an open drink. Most people have a water bottle or a closed top container, and this will work just fine. Perhaps you just want to put a few items in it --like bug protection or sun screen, or a cell phone. Seriously, at this price I challenge you to find a better chair. It is going with us everywhere this summer. The fabric is not that thin slippery type like on the discount chairs. It is substantial and hefty. I am very pleased!

  • 5.0 out of 5 stars. Sturdy and comfortable!

I’ve purchased a lot of bag chairs, and witnessed them falling apart and ripping and so forth. These chairs are very sturdy, comfortable and don’t show any signs of wearing out anytime soon. They are a little heavier than a standard bag chair, but for someone 200 ponds or heavier you’ll definitely prefer the support and confidences that you won’t end up in the grass.

I’m very pleased with my new chairs They are sturdy as heck. True that this chair is a little heavy. The strap on the bag makes the chair portable enough to take it anywhere except for backpacking.

The back of the chair is slightly reclined allowing for the leisure comfort.

Sierra has made these so affordable that I suggest that you buy two.

The chair is very comfortable, The solid arms are great. Cupholder works good.

Just hope you don't have to carry it a long distance ----- a little heavy.
  • 3.0 out of 5 stars. Sturdy but not that comfortable. :/

I have an alps tent that I absolutely love. I was guessing I would love this chair made by them too. It's a nice chair with the exception that the angle of the seat and back are wrong somehow. The bottom sits flat. Just not comfortable. Great chair for your mother in law.
