I dont remember how I first heard of this cd, but im glad I did. Its a great cd and well worth a listen. I dont know if i'd call it nu metal, do they have a dj in the band? The follow up cd wasnt as heavy as this cd and disappointed me.

I am fairly new on the metal scene, with Nothingface, No One, Pantera, Slayer, Faith No More, American Head Charge ect. But I am huge fans of bands like RATM, Disturbed and Korn. Slaves on Dope takes those three bands to a whole new level and beyond. It is just such a damn amazing album. If you like those less hardcore bands like Disurbed, Korn and oldschool RATM and you are looking for the next level of music in that catagory THIS IS IT. Go out and BUY IT NOW, you can not go wrong here.

No offense, but I haven't heard much good music from there. This CD kicks ass. The first song is pretty funny, even though it's four seconds long. The lead singer sings mostly about doing drugs, I think. The lyrics are really good. My favorite songs are the first six (even though the first isn't even a "real" song), but my favorite has to be "I Can't Die." For some reason I really like the chorus, even though I don't quite get it.
This album makes you want to sing along and head-bang and air-guitar and air-drum and jump and scream and...
Well, just get it.

Right from the start you could hear a change. From "Pushing Me" right through to "Leader of Losers" you can tell Slaves On Dope went for a harder, more powerful sound. From their previous album "One Good Turn Deserves Another" it's easy to see the change, but they have not lost a step. I was amazed by the sounds of this new cd, just finding myself sucked right in from start to end. Jason's voice was outstanding on the first cd, but on "Inches from the Mainline" he just took it up a notch. Adding the powerful voice of his, just being able to scream away making the song that much more hard hitting. Not once could I stop listening, and nor will I ever. Slaves On Dope, a great band to come from Montreal, and glad to see them rising higher.

well...I'd like to personally [...] each member of this disgraceful band...My friend recommended them to me, and after listening to them, I was so insulted by the complete trash I heard that I dont know how I'll be able to talk to the poor kid again...I can only hope that this band is just joking, that they're not serious when they make such songs, and that people who gave them 5 stars are joking as well...if not, I'm absolutely speechless. please ignore any praise this band may receive, and dont buy this CD...if for some reason u do feel compelled to hear this compilation of trash, just steal it, because it's not worth a single penny
