Directions

Wash face. Apply a quarter-size amount to wet, just cleansed skin. Massage over entire face for 1-2 minutes, avoiding the eye and mouth areas. Adjust fingertip pressure as needed, using less pressure as needed, using less pressure on delicate areas. Close eyes and rinse thoroughly with cool water. Pat dry. For best results, use in the shower up to 3 times per week. Apply a sun protection product prior to sun exposure.

I have tried many exfoliators in the past, many have been too soft, so I felt I wasn't getting anything out of it, others have been too harsh, almost scraping my skin. But the Biore microderm exfoliator is perfect! It really does take off the dry flaky skin, and your skin feels so clean and smooth. I use it every other day, and have found that it decreases the size of my pores. I was upset when I couldn't find it in stores anymore. Went to about 6 stores, and none sold this particular product anymore. I was so pleased to find that I could get it from Amazon. I bought 2 of these for my daughter for Christmas so she could experience the same feeling. The price is great, even with shipping!

I absolutely love and adore this product! Even after my very first use of it my skin instantly felt smoother and looked brighter.

I've tried other scrubs before, but I can't stand the microbeads, as they don't seem to scrub well enough, and never seem to make my skin smooth. But this stuff is a completely different story.

I can actually feel it working to remove the dead skin as I'm rubbing it on my face, and my face feels refreshed when I'm done.

The only thing I'm bummed about is that Biore discontinued this product and replaced it with a regular face scrub (boo!).

I used to use the Loreal version of this years ago but I think they have discontinued it, so I found this as a very similar alternative. It really does slough the old stuff away off of your face, leaving it looking just a little smoother, brighter, and maybe even younger. I only use it about 1-2 times per week so as not to damage my skin more than I am trying to preserve it. Great product for the price and it lasts a while too!

I have been using this for a month or so; give or take; and I feel comfortable saying that I like this product. Do I love it...not yet. First I'll start with the pro's:
1. Gentle enough to use on my EXTREMELY sensitive skin. I have hyper-sensitive skin. I have to be super-careful what I use. But this doesn't rip my skin apart. For instance, the OTC apricot scrub sent me to the dermatologist after a week of using it, and it took weeks to counter-act what that product did. Anyways...

2. Nice exfoliation. The effects are short-term, but this obviously isn't a professional treatment. I have dry patches on my forehead and this works wonders, but since I don't use it everyday, the patches are back by the time I use it again.

3. I love that it is NOT a warming scrub. Personally, those are the biggest wastes of money.

4. The price. I think I paid less that $7 for this, which is an amazing price for how good it is. I would expect to pay $16.

Cons:

1. The smell. It doesn't smell bad, it smells like men's cologne. Which I love, just not in a skin care product. To smell like this it has to be unnatural, probably chemical, and personally I like things as "green" as possible. I could see where some people who are sensitive to smells might find this overpowering but it's not intolerable for me, just unnecessary.

2. Not sure if it is sold in stores. None of the store in my town carry it.

All in all, I say give it a try if you are in the market for a good exfoliator. This is definitely the best drugstore brand I have ever used, and I've tried them all.

I washed my face with a foaming cleanser, and then used this polisher following all directions (scrub for 2 min, rinse with cool water). My skin was very soft and smooth and all the flaky patches disappeared. No complaints. I used the biore night moisturizer and the next morning my face was still soft and smooth. This product smells divine. Nice and light but enticing. The bottle is small for the price but the results are worth it.

I have been using this for 2 weeks (2 times/wk) with consistent results. Still no complaints!
