I read about this DVD in the New York Times Style section. They do some sort of fitness / lifestyle coverage once a week, and this DVD was reviewed. It was "the best, hands down" of the wedding prep. selection. I really like Marie Forleo. I have her exercise DVD "Dancing off the Inches" and it never feels like work. It rather feels like a fun dance class. I was excited that she was the instructor, because her style of the Dance off the Inches tape is quite hip. She's still cool on this DVD, but not as much fun. She is extremely professional, and as an avid reader of fitness literature, I can tell you that her exercises are very effective. It's cool that you can customize the DVD by selecting the sequence of exersize segments. It's a goosd addition to my collection, if not my favorite.
I bought this workout because I'd been sick for about a month and unable to work out. It was frustrating not be able to get to the gym every day, but I was too sick to care! I read that this workout was designed to give a quick start to getting in shape for a wedding and I thought it would be perfect to give me the quick start to getting back to where I had been physically. WOW! It is great, and for so much more than just fitting into a wedding dress. I will keep it as a tool to use from here on out because it has so many options (you can design your own workout with this, leaving parts out or repeating parts - it has the following portions: warm up, aerobic, legs, arms/upper body, abs, and cool down.) The workout is not difficult to learn, there are no difficult moves to master. However, you will definitely wake up your muscles and know you've worked! It is challenging but beginner friendly too since it can be customized and you decide how much weight you want to use (you will need a set of free weights, 2-5 lbs is what they recommend I think) and either a carpeted floor or rug/mat. Time passes quickly while doing this and the girl who does the video is not annoying like in some fitness videos. I also have the Train for your Body Type but have not tried it yet.Read full review
Love the workouts, bought the DVD because I have a wedding in 9 months and want to tone up my problem areas!! I do wish there we're levels of advancement. I've been using the DVD for about three weeks now and seeing great results but am afraid I am going to get bored with it after a few more weeks with the same workouts every week.
I love this tape, easy to use, don't need anything extra except for a pair of weights. I use it at least 3-4 times weekly with my treadmill. I bought this tape because I was looking for something to do all over exercise, but not spend a lengthy amount of time doing it. I would buy other Women's Health products again.
I am getting married in 3 months, im out of shape and want to tone up fast. I like that you can customize your own work out so you can focus on the most important things first. The instruction is easy. I have a bad back and it is not to rough on me. The work out sessions are short but I think they will do the trick.
