Bought as a replacement for a broken iPad. I was in need of a table and did not want to spend $350 for a replacement iPad Mini. Decided to give the Samsung Tab A a try for $120 after reading several product reviews. So far I am pretty happy with my purchase: Decent screen, good performance/response to watch Netflix, Hulu, YouTube, etc. Great size; decent battery life. A slight deduction for no mini USB power adapter, but they are easy to obtain. Great dealer and very quick response; got it sooner than expected in protective packaging.

The battery life varies,, sometimes its great, sometimes it not. I guess it depends what you are using it for. In terms of better value, it was priced better than most, and not refurbished. The screen is great, but I constantly have trouble with the brightness dimming esp when I'm reading in bed. Also, it just seems to just turn off sometimes and I can't figure out why (not battery related). This is my 3rd Samsung tablet in about 5 years. I figure (hope) I'll get about 2 yrs from this one.

If you leave the tablet on, just laying around, it uses almost no battery (even with wifi left on). I've had it sit for days and only lose 2% of the charge. I've used it nonstop for an entire weekend and haven't had to worry about the battery. The screen is awesome, and I love the multi-view function (youtube and reddit at the same time? yeah!). Beautiful, fast, responsive. Awesome.
