My boys (3,5,& 7) have loved Counting by 5s & 10s since we found them on a site last spring. Finally, I went ahead and bought the album. It doesn't disappoint! ITA w/ the other reviewer that these should go up to 100 or the 12s for all numbers, but I still give it 5 stars because it's so useful and catchy for kids. My kids are young but are memorizing basic skip counting (2s, 5s, 10s) and will learn the other numbers as a jump start for multiplication.

edit: the songs do go higher than 5x but you have to wait until the songs are about halfway finished.

The songs are very basic rap-inspired. No complicated melodies, but solid rhythms that will hopefully get them memorizing w/o working too hard at it.

I was hoping it was the DVD showing the videos, like on YouTube, but my son still loves the songs and even we love them too! Great job on the songs and beats. These songs helped my 3 1/2 year old to learn his multiplications!!

All these songs sound the same. They aren't catchy and therefore we haven't used these hardly at all.

I really like these skip counting songs. Most songs for skip counting are too "kiddish" and have beats that sound like nursery rhymes. They sound nothing like what the kids nowadays listen to anyway. My third/fourth graders listen to artists like Katie Perry, Beyonce, Chris Brown, and Drake. So giving them skip counting songs that sound like Mary had a Little Lamb does not work. I like the beat to these songs, but I don't like that fact that they don't go up to the 12s for each number (from what I heard on the clips). I teach the skip counting to help kids with multiplication. For example I want them to learn 8x1...all the way up to 8x12. The skip counting on this cd doesn't go up to groups of 12 for all the numbers so that is a negative for me. The 8s only go up from 8 to 40, that's only up to 8x5! If these went up to groups of 12 for each number it would be perfect.

We love listening to this cd while we drive. I was looking for a way to get my son to practice his counting. Songs have fun hip hop beat.

I am completely happy, happy with this "counting by ones" DVD. The children find this approach to learning much more fun than the traditional way.
