This is a well built, mid weight reel for fresh water. Great looks and cast great. Properly adjusted for conditions you have minimal to no backlashes. With reel speeds for different lures you are ready to go. This is my reel of choice and I highly recommend.

I avoided daiwa for yrs . buying ABU's and Shimano . last few years I find that was a mistake tatula's are best casting reels by far because of T wing . I feel no difference in cheaper and type r . only bad side of the reel is if you fish in temperatures in teen's the bottom of T wing freezes up with water coming up line and then it gets in upper wide part of T wing not filling spool great . but still love all mine .
