I purchased this card to use in a camera. I chose this one because of the price and the speed. It is UHS-1 speed rated at 40 MB/s, which is a bit faster than most other cards in the same price range, but significantly cheaper than the high-end ~90 MB/s cards (about 3X price difference). So, the shutter lag is very short, and read speeds are quite good. Using ATTO Disk Benchmark, NTFS format, 2 kB partitions, and an 8 kB transfer size, I got a read speed of about 73 MB/sec (way over 40 MB/sec spec) and a write speed of about 17 MB/sec, so the write speed is a tad slow, but acceptable. I can also use this in my computer as a ReadyBoost device, which is an easy way to speed up my computer. The reliability is very good, and I have not had any problems. The only downside is that it could be a bit faster, but this is an excellent price/performance tradeoff. Update on 04/24/2014: I've noticed the prices of the high-end UHS-1 ~90 MB/sec cards that I previously rejected due to price have now dropped to roughly the same price as this midrange UHS-1 speed card, so be sure to shop the highest speed cards.Read full review
Excellent for DSLRs. Reliable, does what it's supposed to. This Sony SDHC card is a pretty nice memory card. Although it is labeled to read up to 40 Mb/sec, I found that I actually got better speeds when reading from the card. I consistently got up to 64Mb/sec read speed...which is blazingly fast. Considering that Class 10 SDHC cards only have to meet 10 Mb/sec minimum requirements, this card went well above and beyond. I bought this card to use with my new Canon T3i DSLR camera, so this speed is coming in handy. In fact, if you are buying a card to use with a high resolution digital camera or hd camcorder... I wouldn't recommend getting a card that is slower than a Class 10 card. With that being said, I would highly recommend this card for such purposes. It has one of the fastest 'read' speeds I have come across in an SD card.Read full review
SONY makes the very best and most durable smart card on the market. I've tried them all, before paying a little more for SONY®. No other can compare in transfer speed and digital graphic excellence! Beware of counterfeits! Be sure to buy yours in its retail packaging, from a well established retailer. My highest recommendation! Robert

This is a class 10 card that provides great frame rate for videos of all format. Recordings in 1080p are superb and have zero flaws during playback. All around this is an excellent product for the price compared to alternative brands. It is a Sony after all, so I have no complaints on this end. I highly recommend this card for all photo and video formats.

I now own 3 of these cards for more than 3 years. I use them with my high definition camcorder and not experienced any problem or "glitch." They are very reliable and sturdy. The information is securely recorded and the card works well at the speed required by a HD camera. I am very pleased with my experience and will have no reservation in trusting them on my most important, sensitive recording sessions. What is great about a 32GB card is that one can record for hours with no fear of running out of time.
