If you're like me and a smartphone is overkill for your needs. the Alcatel Sparq 2 is an excellent feature phone for calls, messaging, and web browsing. It has a numeric keypad on the front for easy call dialing and a qwerty slide-out keypad for entering text. The battery lasts me 5 days of light calling, texting, photos, and a little web browsing. 3G provides plenty fast data for basic web browsing with the installed Opera browser, and better signal strength than 2G feature phones.

The full qwerty keyboard slides out and you can type your texts perfectly. Or you can use the numbers when the keyboard is closed. Lots of features you would expect with an Alcatel phone -- calendar, calculater, little browser, fm radio, etc. I only use it for calls and texts, maybe a picture every once in a while. So I am completely happy with it.

This product was as advertised. I did not expected to be broken and glossed right over that part of the advertisement. Selling broken products doesn't sound like a good value to me. Very disappointed. It did arrive within the specified time.

I love the phone! But I had to buy a new battery for it which cost me $26.00.
