This type of fan is great for a number of applications. Im a drummer and use it at all of my gigs. However its almost too much "wind" at point blank distances. Some times I'm in a corner and don't have room to put it a few feet away, but ill take that over not enough air flow. The extra outlets on the fan are extremely handy too. So plugging in this fan never steels an outlet but creates an extra one for amps, phones or whatever. I feel like these newer ones don't feel quite as sturdy as the one I bought about 10 years ago, but I think it will still hold up. :::Don't buy the slightly bigger ones with "honey comb" vents on the sides. They are garbage and will start to fall apart within a few months and the fan will start rubbing on the very wall its housed in and make a lot of noise.:::Read full review

Well...it's not the large industrial fan I was hoping for but it does push some air where you need it. This is better for using as a cooling fan rather than an industrial drying fan ( such as drying a flooded house)... I'm glad it can help push the cold air from the vents up the stairs as my last fan couldn't even do that. The larger industrial fans are about 6 times the size of these and produce gail force winds that can blow the eyes out of an elephant.

This fan is better than the orange ones because your able to precisely direct the air flow in the desired direction. It’s quiet and the power cord is long and made of good quality.

I was familiar with the Lasko brand fan of this type and knew It to be s great fan that moves s lot of air. I discovered that this Stanley fan design is licensed by Lasko. I love the way it can be positioned up, down or several angles in between. I am very pleased with it. I will definitely be ordering another. It takes up so little room. No more box fans for this house.

I bought this to use while playing in a band. Its not big so you can haul it easily with the rest of your gear. It’s quite , it puts out a lot of air, and it has outlets on it for my amp and pedal board.
