Although it works well to isolate the heat from your handling of the suppressor, it is heavy and rather fat. Looks like a big sausage on the end of the rifle. If you are bench shooting it is OK, but you really wouldn't want to add the extra weight and bulk if this is for hunting or other types of carry. There are other heat shields out there that do the same job with less bulk/weight. It is also a little tricky to install using the slick juice to get it on the suppressor and then to get the suppressor off the host without messing up the orientation.
