The Zephyr model is ideal for those hot, muggy nights when you want to feel a breeze in your tent. The walls are composed entirely of mesh, allowing maximum ventilation and fresh air. The unique 2 pole design gives you more head room to sit up, without feeling cramped. The Zephyr features aircraft alloy aluminum poles, which are strong and lightweight. There is one door placed on the end to make it easy to get in and out of the tent, and a vestibule over the door for a great place to store your extra gear. The fly buckles to the tent, offering a much more secure attachment when compared to elastic cord. Incredible ventilation, great head room, and lightweight... a great combination, creating a high quality tent!

When I first received the tent in the mail, I was immediately disappointed by the weight - however, after setting the tent up and noticing the durability and roominess of the tent I felt a bit better about it - and then by removing a few unnecessary components, such as some packaging, the stakes, and the stand for the vestibule, the weight dropped to a more preferable level. I did my research for an ultralight 2 person hiking tent that was free-standing. This tent is definitely worth it's weight in gold. It's free-standing but the entry way fly has to be staked down otherwise it's just be a tarp lying on top of your pack. It is more of a 1.5 person tent but for a couple it's an excellent fit. We were even able to fit a blow up twin mattress when we... Read more

I recently bought the Zephyr 1 for a week long camping trip and it performed well. It's easy to set up and take down, roomy inside for a solo tent and kept me cool with plenty of venting. The only downside for me was we got caught in a thunderstorm with heavy rain for a few hours and the rain was able to reflect off the ground under the rain fly and get me a little wet. My brot... I spent a lot of time searching for an affordable tent that was light enough to backpack with, sturdy enough to withstand rain and wind, and roomy enough to accommodate my 6-foot, 190-pound frame. This is about as good as it gets. I recently returned from a backpacking trip and my companions with their far more expensive (and somewhat lighter)Big Agnes Flycreek tents were jealo... Read more
