Nice unit; well made and comes in a nice case; the magnet is strong to attach to muzzle. The green dot is nice but is not perfectly round. The dot is not easily visible after a relatively short distance, depending on the reflectivity of the surface it is aimed at. I don't see this used with a long range rifle like my AR-15 at say 50 yards but is a good tool for my handgun. When setting up the alignment, it was instructive to compare and decide whether to set for long range and thus bullet drop compared to the straight laser, or to calibrate the gun's below muzzle laser vs the Wheeler so the two laser dots converged at a distance; set mine at 20'. That way at less than 20' the Wheeler green dot was above the guns red dot, and above 20' the dots changed to under/over.

The Wheeler Pro Bore Sight Green Laser was easy to use but I couldn't see the laser all that good. This was in the daylight. I could not adjust the brightness of the laser nor how big the laser point was to be able to see it better. Also was not very visible at 25 yards. I had ordered another brand at the same time and I liked the other bore sight better and have decided to keep that one, which cost about twice the cost as the wheeler but you have to get what works best for you the individual.

Green laser is by far easier to see during the day. Red is great at night but green is even better and you will probably be sighting in during the day. This device attaches to the gun easily with a pretty powerful magnet. It pretty much centers itself on the barrel. The laser allows for easy sight in. Stick the laser into the barrel, turn it on, put the gun onto a sand bag, mechanical gun mount or use a bipod. The green laser is very easily seen and allows for dialing in your scope onto the point of laser impact. No shooting needed for now. It will be very close to where the bullet will hit. Took only two shots to get my 17 Hornet sighted in perfectly. Same with my .223 and my 6.5 Creedmoor. The green laser was pin point at 100 yards...and was easy to see. I had a red version and the red did not work as well during the day. Works on my PCP air rifles too! I highly recommend the Wheeler589922 laser bore sighter. Easy to use. Saves ammo. Read full review

PRO: Clips right on to the muzzle, and stays. The green beam is very easy to see during the day in sunlight. Con: Its hard to take it off, and the laser dot gets wider at longer distance (100 yds), and its hard to see in very bright sunlight.

Good way to get you on paper in as few shots as possible. I normally just pull the bolt and bore sight at the range but it’s nice to have this tool at the house when I’m mounting scopes for friends and family. So far it has gotten them on paper to where they could finish zeroing. I’m sure it will come in handy on other style rifles and the occasional muzzle loader. I went with the green laser and am very happy with it. It’s munch easier to see than the red one. Quality is very good and as expected as all my other Wheeler products are too.
