Product Info for MSR Reactor 1.0L Stove System

The new MSR Reactor Stove is the fastest boiling, most fuel efficient windproof stove available. The stove combines a state-of-the-art stove and high efficiency 1.7 liter pot with heat exchanger into one compact, easy-to-use unit. The Reactor is also the first canister stove to use an internal pressure regulator that ensures consistent flame output in all conditions. The radiant burner is enclosed by the heat exchanger for total wind protection, making the Reactor the perfect stove for windy and cold conditions. The Reactor is also great at high altitudes. You'd expect a stove like this to be pretty heavy and not great for backpacking, but the Reactor 1 L weighs in at only 16.7 oz and it stows away into itself.image

I only used it once,so far, during a few day hiking in Smokies. Quite light, easy to clean, fast, windproof, little gas flare up, but poor temperature control (doesn't simmer), the lid pops off easily during transport. Cup of coffee in less than a min.

The stove works really well in windy conditions and also effective in boiling water in a short period of time. I haven't tried yet in winter season or severe conditions but If you are a backpacker then you can save much time to boil water for hot meals or coffee. Overall, I highly recommend!!!

This stove is awesome. This thing boils water much faster than my previous Jetboil flash. I have only two small issues with the stove. The unit does not have a built in igniter so if you forget your lighter or striker, your not only without a fire but also hot food and drink. In addition I'm A little concerned that the hard plastic lid could get cracked or broken while being pa...

I love this thing. It’s so compact, light, easy to carry in your backpack and you can’t beat the boil time. Usually less than 90 sec. I’ve taken it on hiking day trips in the winter as well as camping. Perfect for making coffee (press sold separately), ramen noodles and freeze dried meals.

This is a great stove system, light weight, fuel save and powerful. You can boil water quickly even cold and windy. Easy packing the stove and the gas inside the pot. Also the stove can be a warmer(be careful when using!). I suggest you should using the gas stand when using MSR reactor stove system because it was easy upsetting when the pot was fully load.

So far so good. Just got it and have only tried it at home. Seems to be great. Observations so far, very fast and best of all, very quiet. Almost completely silent. One negative is that the burner and a small fuel can just barely fit inside the pot. It is kind of hard to get the burner out if both are it the pot. I will probably not keep the fuel can in the p...
