This past weekend was the first opportunity to use this tent, and not having the opportunity to set it up and see how it looked prior to setting up for the first time at the campground was interesting to say the least. Well, for just having two poles, and the rest is based on a tension network to keep it up, you need two people to satisfactorily set up this tent. For how it looks in the picture, yeah, it looks like that, but it does not stay up without the tent cover. If you desire to use the tent without the cover, good luck. You might want to make some alterations to the tent and the structure that keeps it in place. It does come with enough stakes to go all the way around. Does it fit two people comfortably, not really. This would make an excellent one person tent if you have a good amount of gear with you. I would not suggest this for two people. Maybe two kids, but not adults. And from the brief experience that I had with it this past weekend, it is not waterproof. My fiancé and I were almost drowned in the process. So this is not good if you are going to an area that has predictions for inclement weather. I'd give it two and half stars if I could, but three will have to suffice.Read full review

Fit perfect across the seat of my Sport touring motorcycle, super light and compact, so compact its more of a 1 person tent after you get all your gear in it!! Seems to hold up pretty good in wind, but not so much in wet or humid weather. I was soaked after only 3 hours in a storm. I've since taken the tent to a few cans of water proof spay. It held up a little better than my Canvas tent i used to use. We shall see how long it lasts!! If you need a light weight easy to pack tent this works great as long as you are not subject to a high humid area, or a pretty severe weather condition. Works, but needs a little help with weather proofing!!

Great tent for the price; with minor modifications, it's an incredible deal! It's made from a thick taffeta, appears well sewn, and is a nice size -- spacious for one + gear, or comfortable for a couple. I picked up some seam-seal at Walmart ($5) and sealed the rain fly and tent inside and out (I was pleasantly surprised to find the floor seams taped from the factory when I turned the tent inside out...). Texsport tells owners to seam-seal in the literature that comes with the tent. It's been my experience that 90% of tents you can buy need their seams sealed when purchased, regardless of what the manufacturer claims (and that other 10% are all really, really high dollar items). Love the fact this is a two piece, double walled tent! It comes packaged kind of crazy from the factory. I have separated it in 3 parts...tent, rain fly, and poles/stakes. One of the two poles is too long, but the tent compresses to about 12" x 4" by itself (and weighs about 1 1/2 pounds!) and the rain fly compresses to about the size of a water bottle. I have them in individual sacks and they are incredibly easy to pack in my backpack in this fashion. This tent comes with 14 steel stakes that must weigh at least a pound by themselves! I replaced them with alloy stakes. This tent could easily be configured into a real ultra light setup. Carry the tent body, poles, and alloy stakes and you'd be a couple of ounces over two pounds, include the rain fly and you'd still be only carrying around 3lbs. The main tent body is nice by itself with the full mesh roof and privacy panels along the bottom, it is perfect for fair weather all alone. Seam seal everything and bring the rain fly and you will be good to go for whatever Mother Nature brings to the party. Gripes? As mentioned, one of the poles is too long, it only breaks down 3X and it should be 4...wish they were aluminum, too. That's about it. A very well made tent that is incredibly versatile and a super value at this price point!Read full review

I travel on a motorcycle and this is ideal if I'm not going to spend more than 1 night at the same camp area. It I lightweight, packs small and is relatively easy to erect. Plenty of room for one person.
