Nice isolation for equipment generated power line noise but needs slight/easy to make modifications to make it a "technician type isolation transformer". NOTE: In my opinion, the green wire on the secondary side does not appear to be a secondary winding center tap. It appears (to me) to be a ground for the shield between the primary & secondary windings. Have a QUALIFIED TECH OR ELECTRICIAN Unplug the unit from power source & check for continuity between the green wire & secondary wires & you likely will see NONE as is the case in mine! A QUALIFIED TECH OR ELECTRICIAN ONLY should then proceed to make modifications as he/she deems necessary for conversion to a "TECH TYPE ISOLATION TRANSFORMER" IF DESIRED!

I've used several products intended to either clean or filter noise from household current. I found after a short period the transformer seemed to settle in and integrate with my equipment. Dynamics and speed were the same as plugging directly into the wall outlook. Background fuzz was reduced and a new smooth fluid sound has been keeping me interested in playing more albums.

Transformer is very well built with an extremely heavy transformer and heavy metal case with great ventilation. Cord is heavy duty and very long so it can be placed where needed rather than where the outlet is. Switch is heavy duty with a satisfying clunk so you can be sure when it turns off or on just based on feel. Plugs on the back are solidly attached. This thing will last forever.
