BOYCOTT AOL until CEO Tim Armstrong is FIRED. A quote from Mr. Armstrong: "Two things that happened in 2012," he said, according to a transcript provided by an AOL employee. "We had two AOL-ers that had distressed babies that were born that we paid a million dollars each to make sure those babies were OK in general. And those are the things that add up into our benefits cost. So when we had the final decision about what benefits to cut because of the increased healthcare costs we made the decision, and I made the decision, to basically change the 401(k) plan."Let's go through our checklist where companies are acting like corrupt monarchies, taking on the characteristics of sociopath which is being encouraged, replicated and rewarded, creating The Sociopathic Business Model ™
Does not recognize the rights of others (employees make a company and the denial of their rights is unethical and illegal)
Verbal outburst (a company sending out this informtion to employees)
Lack of remorse, shame or guilt (the idea the company allowed this information to disseminated to employees demonstrates this point)
Lack of accountability (a company blaming 2 employees for their problems)
Irresponsible
Creates hopelessness in their victims (even though those 2 women know they are not the real cause, it doesn't do much for self esteem)
Motivation through fear (Is the company also sending a message that women should not get pregnant? or use their health insurance?)
Quick to place blame (check)
Creates an unhappy and unproductive work environment (yep, AOL pretty much secured that one (wait for emails about the team being unproductive-huh wonder why?)
And, let's not forget this is Tim Armstrong's first time getting called out for unethical behavior. There's that little incident where he fired an employee while on a company wide conference call, for taking his picture (which was part of the employees job description).Time for the American public to hold these CEOs (Kings) who are demanding that their employees (loyal subjects) do as they're told (even if illegal, especially if illegal) or it's off with their heads...or at the very least down with the 401K, and demand their removal and a subsequent management overhall. Do not support AOL until CEO Tim Armstrong is made to publically apologize, offer these two employees restitution from his personal finances, and is terminated.http://www.killingmycareer.com/the-sociopathic-business-model/if-we-didnt-have-to-work-for-these-guy...
